My guilty pleasures

Hi all. how r u? so i decided to delete one of my blog's post.. u know which one.. because i feel like I've been getting more attention than what i'm comfortable with(the traffic count is through the roof on that one)...and i feel like it's a mistake sharing such a personal story with people who might not understand the full gravity of my situation and so they are quick to judge. I won't let myself be a punching bag for people with their own problems. I value myself too much for that

I deleted it NOT because i'm scared of negative comments.. They don't really effect me emotionally or make a dent on my self esteem.

This is my frame of mind.. this is MY BLOG, and i write the way i want to write it.. if someone has a problem with what i write then don't read it. or start your own blog..
it was never my intention to be famous
and to grab as many readers as i can....

What i want is a blog that authentically portrays who i am..i don't want to be seen as someone with a perfect life with no problems...

Coming to someone's blog then criticizing what the writer wrote is like coming to someone's home then criticizing how they decorate.. It's RUDE. To attack someone through an anonymous comment is a cowardly act. It is not I who should be ashamed, it is you If you are one of those people who can't stand me or think i'm annoying, self absorbed but STILL FOLLOW my blog.. then you have to realize that you may be addicted to me... ?
;)

On the other hand.. I've been getting a lot of random messages from people  that encourage me to keep blogging.. and that they feel connected to what i write.. YOU don't know how much that means to me.. it really means a lot.. so from the bottom of my heart THANK YOU FOR YOUR ENCOURAGEMENT

This blog post is about my guilty pleasures....
sometimes i get so fed up with life, i needed an escape..

what better to do than to watch a reality show?? :)

it lets you to take off your "life" for a moment and step into someone else's life...

my favorite shows are as follows

1) THE JERSEY SHORE
this is a show about a bunch of Italian american "guidos and guidettes"

basically they're a bunch of young people who likes to get drunk, party, sleep around and have fun....

they put a lot of effort maintaining a certain" look" tanned skin... poofed up hair(for girls) spiky hairs for guys...

the guys like to have big muscles so they work out all the time (GTL, all they do is gym, tan and laundry)
they like to wear tight ed hardy shirts , true religion jeans and nothing else...

there's a lot of drama in the show.. some of them date each other, them break up, then get back together...some of the girls fought so hard that they rip each other's hair when they fight >.<'

despite all this,, i love watching them... because.. I love how they never take life too seriously... they know how to have fun.. and they don't apologize for it...

They are never ashamed of being who they are, no matter how many people criticize /judge them of being trashy low life degenerates.. They know who they are.. they are not ashamed of it.. they don't let others dictate how they live

because let's face it... everybody's life is their own.. no one has a right to tell others how they should be/act...
*snooki's my favourite btw.. she's such a sweetheart

2)My big fat gypsy wedding.

this one is about gypsy cultures... when i first saw it i was amazed and intrigued by their lifestyle because it's so different than ours.. and not much is known about them

This is what i got from the documentary anyways.. i don't know if it's 100% true because sometimes tv programs can skew reality...

gypsies are travellers that lived in Brittain.. most of them don't live in one area but move around in their trailers.... because of this most of gypsy boys have problems finding work, therefore most boys work in contruction where they get paid in cash....

the biggest day in a gypsy girl's life is when she gets married... she practically gets to fulfill all of her fantasies.. it is the highlight of their life...

they follow a very patriarchal system.. most would even say "medieval" because the women is often regarded as property by the men in their family... Most of gypsy women don't have jobs and their main duty is to produce children/please their husband/ stay at home moms...

It is so interesting how they maintain their way of live admist living in the 21st century... people who don't understand them will surely judge them

The girls dress in a way where some people would consider "slutty" and dance provocatively... even starting at a young age

However girls are expected to keep their virginity until they're married off...

I find gypsy girls to be very very pretty.. and they have a hot droolworthy body... and their dancing is very very sensual

The main focus of the show is how gypsy girls choose to express their style.. some consider them to be garish, outragous and wacky...

they love to wear p very poofy and costumey gowns....and wear super sparkly accesories

regardless of how people think of them... they held on to your values... and their way of life.. proud and strong... and  i find that admirable...

watching these people taught me to respect /appreciate other people's cultures/beliefs... no matter how different they may seem...
plus i secretly love watching what they put on :p

3) HERE COMES HONEY BOO BOO
this one follows a "poor white trash family" which centers around HONEY BOO BOO

she likes to enter beauty pageants... and created a controversy when it's found out that her mom gave her "gogo juice" before competition(a mixture of redbull and gatorade)... A lot of people criticize the mom for being reckless for giving something like that to   her child( honey boo boo's real name is Alana)

First time i watch them is like watching a trainwreck....
the wash their hair in the sink.... and play in the mud for fun...

Alana's 15 year old sister is pregnant and the baby has 2 thumbs....

Their mom, mama june... Farts excessively and isn't ashamed of it...

they enjoy consuming, spaghetti, butter and ketchup... and call it "sketti"
can u imagine the criticism this family must've received? how many people makes fun of them??especially being in america where people are taught that being thin and beautiful , rich and proper is all that matters.

However once you look further into this family.. you will realize that there is a lot of love here... AGAIN... they are not ashamed of being who they are...

I love Alana because she enjoys the little things in life... she has an upbeat attitude and an open mind.... she has a gay uncle whom she calls her "poodle".... she accepts everyone as who they are...even if they are a little different..

she never lets haters get her down... she even said
"I know who i am, and i will never change"
her main goal in life is not to impress others.. and she never succumbed to pressure.. and that is admirable

to others she might be an ugly old fat hag... but i really find her to be beautiful(or "beautimous")on the inside

It's so refreshing to see a show that's not focused on materialistic things...how people can have so little but still be happy...

i definitely need to learn a thing or two from this family... everyone does...

I kinda wish that there are more people like them in this world...

anyways i'll leave you with this.. i hope you enjoy this post

xoxo
